H. Emre Becer studied graphic design at the State School of Applied Arts in İstanbul. After two-year advertising agency experience in Austria, he moved Turkey and began his career as Research Assistant at Marmara University, Faculty of Fine Arts where he earned his Ph.D degree in graphic design. From 1987 to 2005 he worked as Associate Professor at Bilkent University in Ankara. Prof. Becer moved İstanbul in 2005 and continued teaching graduate and undergradute level typography, packaging graphics and editorial design classes at Marmara University, Faculty of Fine Arts. He is recently a faculty member at Yeditepe University, Faculty of Fine Arts. He has joined several national and international group exhibitions and realized nine one-man shows. Becer’s artistic works received several awards in various national and international competitions. He is the author of three published design books.
