She is a graphic designer and an exhibition curator currently residing in Los Angeles, California. She is the founder and curator of a PosterTerritory initiative that launches socially conscious exhibitions and graphic design events that promote the art of the contemporary poster. After obtaining her Ph.D. in Visual Arts Olga became involved with a number of international poster exhibits and design projects. Devoted to the art Olga became an exhibition curator in Los Angeles, USA, where she brings international poster art to American audiences. A few of her latest shows are: The World After, Biophilia Poster Competition, The World According to Love, Bauhaus 100, and The New Winds (co-curated with Majid Abbasi). A passionate promoter of the contemporary poster, Olga Severina has authored books and catalogs on the contemporary poster as well as articles for design magazines like NESHAN Graphic Design Magazine and AIGA blogs, where she explores the latest trends in visual expression. She is also a member and contributor for many design communities such as WGD, and AIGA Los Angeles, among others. A true disciple of the genre, she serves on a jury of a variety of international poster competitions in Poland, Italy, China, and Iran. As an artist, Olga frequently takes part in international poster competitions and design events that celebrate creative excellence in contemporary graphic arts, where her works have been recognized with various prizes and awards.
